How to Install Mielon's The Sift
Check your Minecraft version
Choose 26.3, 26.2, 1.21.1, or 1.20.1 based on the game installation you actually use.
Install the matching loader
Use Fabric for the current 26.x files, NeoForge for the listed 1.21.1 release, or Forge for the listed 1.20.1 release.
Install the required dependencies
Add Fabric API and/or GeckoLib exactly as listed for your version on CurseForge.
Put the mod file in your mods folder
Launch Minecraft with the same loader profile. If it fails, first re-check the game version, loader version, and GeckoLib version.
How to Open the Ancient City Portal
Go to the center of an Ancient City
The mod places eight Sonorous Deepslate blocks in front of the Reinforced Deepslate frame.
Play a Goat Horn
A Singer appears and awakens the Sonorous Deepslate.
Place Note Blocks on the awakened blocks
Right-click each Note Block to cycle through its eight custom Sift notes.
Play the notes in this order
1 → 3 → 7 → 6 → 5 → 2 → 4 → 8. Left-click the Note Blocks to play them. Their physical positions do not need to match the sequence.
Wait for the portal to open
After the correct sequence, the Sonorous Deepslate replays the melody, the beams activate, and the nearby Sift Portal begins opening.
Siftite Armor & Tools
Siftite is the mod's endgame Netherite upgrade material. It adds a full armor set, tools, a spear, Smithing Template progression, and Mini Rift recovery after death.
